Building, Testing & Proving Your Revenue Model
Taught by Aspen serial entrepreneur Candice Carpenter Olson
The key ideas presented in this workshop are 1. Business Model Experimentation, and 2. Business Model Projections.
Fundamental to developing your revenue model is determining the types and sources of revenue your business will generate. Revenue types include product sales, service fees, advertising sales, data access fees, Saas, license fees, and/or commissions.
Once your basic revenue model and pricing is set, you can estimate the number of customers you expect to have, how many sales you think you’ll make to each one, and the frequency with which you’ll make those sales—daily, weekly, monthly, or annually. Collectively, this information allows you to project your total revenue.
